My Camaro originally came with a sad little 2bbl 307 that put out a whopping 140 net horsepower. Of course back then cars did not remain stock for very long and that 307 is lost to the mists of time.

I think 1979-80 was actually a good time. Manufacturers finally realized that emissions requirements weren’t going away and they stopped looking at fuel injection as some type of novelty item.
